Resto Review : Newly open outlet, Pepper Lunch Bintaro Xchange

Indonesian Foodblogger (idfb) held a restaurant review at the newly open outlet, Pepper Lunch Bintaro Xchange. This was the second review programme held by Pepper Lunch and idfb. I couldn't take part on the first one because of some reason, so I enrolled myself. Together with 20 bloggers who took part in Pepper Lunch resto review, I experienced myself to taste a huge portion of premium steak served on a hot plate, The Giant.

Resto Review : Sushi Matsu, BSD

Perasaan takut, penasaran dan juga antusias campur jadi satu. Itulah yang saya rasakan ketika berangkat untuk food tasting di Sushi Matsu Restaurant. Saat menyetujui untuk ikut review di Sushi Matsu pun, saya tidak tahu secara spesifik apa yang akan saya makan. Yang saya ingat, saya pernah memesan sushi roll dan itu pun harus saya habiskan sendiri karena suami dan anak saya tidak mau mencobanya. Tapi saat itu yang saya pesan bukan sushi dengan ikan mentah, karena saya masih belum yakin apa saya akan menikmati sushi dengan ikan mentah.

The brand new lifestyle magazine, Scarllett Magazine, made an irresistible offer to me. They asked me to be one of food photography contributor in Recipe section and I feel so very happy about it. This mutual collaboration has been going on for nearly 4 months and Scarllett Magazine will published its first print issue next month ! What kids love about fast food ? It's prepared and served fast and according to them, fast food always tastes good ! Fast foods are high in fat, sodium and sugar which are not healthy to our bodies. And that becomes my biggest concern these days. My son loves burgers, pizzas and all stuffs from fast food restaurants. But I have to be strict with my rules about this one. I only allow him to buy one kind of fast food in a month, but sometimes he doesn't buy any *evil laugh.

From what I saw on the movie, kids hate broccoli. They refuse to eat broccoli because its dark green colour and vegetable with dark green colour equals bitter taste ! But that's completely wrong. Broccoli tastes surprisingly quite good. Broccoli also has numbers of health benefit which are very good for our body, like prevent osteoarthritis, reduce cancer risk, diabetes and heart disease.

Continuous rainfall for the last several days has caused heavy flooding in some places around Jakarta. I had to cancel my appointment with a friend due to this situation. I think it's a lot safer if we stay at home at the moment. Alhamdulillah, my home is not affected by the flood and everything seems pretty normal from here. Staying at home in the rainy weekend pushed me back into the kitchen and cooked a special dish for whole family. I make Nasi Bakar / Grilled aromatic rice which is very simple and delicious. If you have leftover rice, this is a recipe you can rely on and serve a new variation of rice dish other than fried rice. Even my son can eat two parcels in one go !
