Indonesian fern curry

Exploring the diversity of traditional Indonesian food has always been a fun and nice thing to do. I enjoy every learning process in each and every food that I cook. The outcomes were not always successful, but I learned from those failures. Things I will never experience if I never give myself a try to cook it. I have to admit that food photography and being married have made me learn how to cook properly. I'm eventually falling in love with these cooking activities. 

(Product Review) - Colby's Farm nut milk

I am curious on how to make my own almond milk at home. I had been looking for the recipe and how to make it on the internet before I finally got a chance to taste nut milk products from Colby's Farm. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to meet directly with Tantri and William from Colby's Farm in person.

To be able to taste a slice of our favorite cake, sometimes we do not really care about our diet. We are also more than willing to forget the amount of sugar, fat and calories in a slice of cake. What a nightmare ! As if pleasure and health are on two opposite sides. But balancing food intake with exercises is the best way to live a healthy living.

Continuous rainfall for the last several days has caused heavy flooding in some places around Jakarta. I had to cancel my appointment with a friend due to this situation. I think it's a lot safer if we stay at home at the moment. Alhamdulillah, my home is not affected by the flood and everything seems pretty normal from here. Staying at home in the rainy weekend pushed me back into the kitchen and cooked a special dish for whole family. I make Nasi Bakar / Grilled aromatic rice which is very simple and delicious. If you have leftover rice, this is a recipe you can rely on and serve a new variation of rice dish other than fried rice. Even my son can eat two parcels in one go !

First thing before we go any further to my review, let me wish you a Happy New Year. Let's start this new year with new hopes and new dreams. We have experienced many good and bad moments in the previous years, but sure those make us a stronger and better person as what we are now.
